CloudStream is a media player only. We do not provide, host, or sell TV channels, movies, or series. You connect your own legal subscription or playlist from your provider.
Information we collect
- Device identifier — a hardware-based ID used for app activation and license checks on your LG Smart TV.
- Account email and name — when you activate a CloudStream subscription at cloudstream.pro.
- Provider credentials — server URL, username, and password you enter; stored locally on your TV to connect to your streaming provider.
- Usage data — favorites, watch progress, parental controls, and settings; stored locally on your TV.
How we use information
- Verify your CloudStream license and subscription status.
- Connect to your chosen streaming provider using credentials you supply.
- Remember your preferences, favorites, and playback progress on the device.
- Provide optional poster and metadata enrichment when you enable TMDB in Settings.
- Provide optional online subtitles when you enable that feature.
Data we do not sell
We do not sell your personal data. Provider credentials remain on your device unless you explicitly use a cloud backup feature (if offered). License checks communicate with cloudstream.pro over HTTPS.
Third-party services
- Your streaming provider — receives login details you enter to deliver live TV and on-demand content.
- TMDB — optional; used for posters and metadata when you configure an API key in Settings.
- Subtitle lookup services — optional; may be contacted when online subtitles are enabled.
Data retention
Local app data stays on your TV until you clear app data or uninstall CloudStream. Activation records tied to your email are retained while your subscription is active and as required for billing and support.
Your choices
- Clear app data anytime in Settings → Data & Reset.
- Remove playlists and credentials in Settings → Playlists.
- Email support@cloudstream.pro to request deletion of activation records tied to your email.
Children
CloudStream is not directed at children under 13. Parental controls are available in Settings for household use.
